MissionsWe have been entrusted to share the good news of Christ in our homes, our personal lives, our community, and our world. We are excited about this responsibility and present to you several of our missions and outreach programs in place to share the love of Christ.
The Missions & Evangelism TeamThis group of dedicated volunteers coordinates and leads our church's mission efforts. It is a place for members of Garden Oaks Baptist to pursue and apply their passion for missions in a way that has real world results and an eternal impact. We believe that missions and evangelism are more than just the things that "super Christians" do, but that God desires all Christians to fulfill His Great Commission. Not sure how? We'd love to help!
Missionary PartnersWe have partnered with the Lokey family. They are missionaries with Campus Crusade for Christ. Read more about the impact of this important ministry in their monthly newsletter which can be obtained by calling the church office at 713-864-4447.
Lottie MoonThe purpose of the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is to give sacrificially to international missions, following the example of Southern Baptist's most celebrated missionary to China, Lottie Moon (1873-1912). Read more about Lottie Moon online: http://ime.imb.org/lottiemoon/default.asp.
Annie ArmstrongThrough gifts to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, missionaries all over North America are enabled to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Because every dollar given to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering goes to direct support of missionaries and their ministries, Southern Baptists are confident offering gifts are an investment in eternity. We remember Annie as she rallied churches to give more, pray more, and do more for reaching people for Christ.
